Born on the 8th of March 1988, Olinda Marowa Ziwengais a female Zimbabwean gospel artist based in Harare. She attended Cold Comfort Primary and Morgan High Schools. She did her A'level with Herentals College. She is also a holder of a Diploma in Communications and Journalism with Christian College of Southern Africa popularly known as (CCOSA). Her interest for music began at a very tender age. Her passion and began recording music. Olinda joined the music scene in 2004 as a backing vocalist for Kudzie Nyakudya. Known to many as Olinda Marowa her first album titled 'Nyasha' in 2008, she released the hit song 'Ndinouya Baba' which was produced by Willard Magombedze also known as Slimaz Pro. The video increased her growing popularity in Christian circles. The album was followed by 'Mufaro Wangu' in 2011. It was recorded at Voice of Jordan (VOJ). This was followed by her third album titled 'Jehovah Tshuvah', being recorded at Lyton Studios. In 2014, the album was nominated at the Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) in Best Traditional Gospel and Best Female Artist categories. She also scoped the Best Female Gospel Artist of the year 2015 for Permican Awards with Jehovah Tshuvah and also Best Contemporary Music for Mildlands Music Awards (MMA) in 2016. Olinda Marowa's first live show was at the Rainbow Towers Gardens in 2009. She also did live shows in Malawi between 2008 and 2009 in places like Lilongwe, Blantyre and Mzuzu. She has also worked with artists such as Kudzie Nyakudya, Bethany Pasinawako, Rumbie Zvirikuzhe, Fortunate Kwaramba, Sabastian Magacha, Nicholas Chirunga, Blessing Shumba, Fungisai Mashavave and Rev TT Chivariro. She has done a number of concerts in Zimbabwe, Malawi and South Africa and has staged with Rebecca Malophe, Lundi Tyamara, Mai Charamba and Fungisai Mashavave. Olinda is currently co-pastoring a Ministry called Grace Life Covenant with husband and has two children a boy and a girl.
